What People say about Greentails Residence One

"I had the most wonderful time at Greentails ... swimming .... walking to the centre of the island .... where I climbed a tower and looked out over extraordinary beauty .... and the nearby beach with turtles .... this is paradise"   Wasfi Kani OBE

"A day in the life of a Greentails guest... I awake to the sound of the birds & the beautiful clear light that signals I'm somewhere exotic...decide to have an early dip in the beautiful pool as the sun moves over the house to cast its early morning warmth. I hear the chattering of the shy greentail monkeys as they move through the mahogany trees that give the house it's name....what next?.... perhaps a yoga class in nearby Holetown with the lovely Pamela Harris.....my body opens to the Anusara postures & the warm breezes that drift through the open studio. Then it's back to the house for breakfast of good Italian coffee, toast & homemade lime marmalade.A lay in the sun before it becomes too strong as we discuss what we shall do today...a lovely lunch at the Fish Pot up the coast , where the sea laps at your feet or a snack in preparation for a fabulous dinner at Cin Cin, our favourite...we see Gary Linekar there, eating with his family ......  Before dinner we have a little snooze, listening to the humming birds this time & the sway of the ginger lillies around the cottage. A cocktail on the balcony to watch the sunset as we glam up for our restaurant. Somehow you feel so special, it's warm, you have a bit of a tan, you are relaxed & everyone looks wonderful...what more can I say...just another day in paradise. We'll be back next year for our third visit to ease the winter gloom." Annie & Dave Edwards

"Well located for all the attractions of Barbados, the surrounding mahogany forest gives a feeling of seclusion and privacy, whilst the open view to the sea from the terrace is magnificent.  Residence One is cool and comfortabland the open design of the living area is perfect for escaping from the midday sun and for outdoor eating. The house is stylish and equipped with everything you could possibly need for comfort a real 'home from home' and we enjoyed our stay there very much."  Jill Wilkins

"My wife and I spent a wonderful 10 days at Greentails.  It is perfectly situated above the sea with lovely views but it only takes a few minutes to drive down to a very un-crowded beach and have a morning swim – as we did most days around 8am.  It is also close to most hotels and restaurants one might want to go to on the west coast – both the expensive and the more modest ones.  The house itself has everything you could look for in terms of luxury accommodation and outdoor living.  There are very good kitchen facilities and it’s lovely to dine out in the open-air dining room at any time of the day.  We stayed in the separate cottage, which was delightfully private and had a very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom." James Watters

"We stayed at Greentails and can not recommend it highly enough. The pool is beautiful, with a large sunbathing and relaxing area with plenty of luxurious sunbeds and umbrellas. The villa is delightful, with an open air wrap-around balcony, and plenty of sofa sitting areas and dining areas. The kitchen is very well equipped with a central island and is bright and modern. Although the house is open plan, the formal lounge area can be closed off and used as a cool tv/cinema room. The master bedroom has a magnificent dressing room attached, and a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The villa is tastefully decorated and everything is finished to the highest standards. There is a large drive area and beautiful gardens all around. A very secluded spot, but still only 5 minutes from the sea and Holetown." Hazel & George Foster
